"WOW what a special place with so much history, we loved absolutely everything about our visit. The hotel was stunning, our room was huge, clean, and comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful with hot water and heaps of pressure. Lovely property gardens to walk through. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"
