"The huts are amazing, great location max. 3 minutes from the slope if you stay in the furthest one. They’re clean and warm, have all the things you need to cook a pretty decent dinner for a couple of people and there’s even sponges and dish soap at the property. The huts are very warm and they stay that way during the night so you won’t be cold. The owner is great and is quick to offer whatever help you need. It’s a quiet place without many people going through and you can’t hear anything going on in the other houses. The WiFi is very good and each hut has its own router."

The towels provided are every small (basically hand towels) - that’s not bad really but it’d be nice if that information was provided. Kind of no place to put your skis and snowboards except on the small terrace - unless you’d like them in your bedroom - but that’s not a big problem.

"We were generously upgraded to the Langakali house from the Heilala initially booked at no extra charge. This worked out perfect having the extra bathroom. The house was easily accessible on our arrival with overall good communication from the renters. Nina was beautiful and did countless loads of washing for us with no hesitation included in the accomodation price. Green Lodge is close proximity to town and our families village so was a prime location for us. Screens on doors and windows were a plus, coils and basic toiletries and essentials were provided and ample storage throughout. A quiet area that felt very safe. Style of the house is older, but comfortable enough, we felt at home being here."

Although screens were throughout, you will still need repellent and extra coils. The ensuite bathroom toilet wouldn’t always flush properly and the wifi wasn’t working. It would be a plus to have one more fan in the third bedroom of the Langakali house and

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

"We were spoilt with kindness…the staff went out of their way to look after us - even cooking a birthday cake for me at very short notice. The property was very comfortable as and clean and our room looking out into the water holes that the animals came to in the evening and mornings"

Nothing big . A small thing. Local food was only from one region of Uganda. A bit predictable too. But otherwise amazing food

"Beautiful surroundings, so calm. The host is incredibly helpful and kind. This refuge is his personal project, and you can see his passion. The surrounding villages are small but lovely to walk through. There are nice hikes possible, including to the peak of Mount Agou, the people on the paths will kindly guide you to your destination. They are truly kind."

The location on the map is slightly off, ask for a pin before you arrive to make sure you find the right place!

The log cabin accommodation was warm, comfortable and beautifully unique in the attention to detail, artistically designed carved wood, stretched leather, fur chair and stone framed mirror. Husky ride was fun learning about their training from friendly staff. Highly recommended for a comfortable and unique experience."

Couldn’t improve this stay it was excellent. Just wish I could have stayed longer.

A little hard to find.

"Apartamenti ar savu atrašanās vietu, iekārtojumu, šarmu ļoti labi iederējās nelielā kalnu pilsētas kopējā aurā. Ir jāuzliela viesu mājas saimnieces viesmīlību, un viņas gatavotās vienkāršās, bet garšīgās brokastis. Bija labas sajūtas sēžot uz nelielo balkonu un baudot siltos vakarus kopā ar pretējās mājas kaimiņiem."

Pastaigas attālumā, bet var aizbraukt arī ar automašīnu, ir jūra. Mājiņa maza, bet tīra, ir viss vajadzīgais (varbūt vienīgi tualete un duša ir gŗūtak lietojama lielakiem cilvēkiem), bet tas nesabojā atpūtu. Vairāk noder ģimenem ar bērniem, jo divstāvu gultā pieaugušiem cilvēkiem nav īpaši ērti, bet ir izvelkams dīvāns priekštelpā."

"Beautiful place next to a river and the mangrove bushes. The lady at the service desk speaks very good English. That’s was very helpful. The excursion to the monkeys was very fun and the boat tour was beautiful!"

"Nina is a charming and caring host who gave us great tips on things to do and places to eat. The property is wonderful, the rooms spacious, comfortable and cozy and the breakfast was delicious!! We should have stayed longer!!!"

Apart from the very cosy and interesting architecture , I appreciated the quality of the small things in the room , like sheets , furniture , and bathroom finishes, things that make your stay very pleasant. "This is a beautiful and well run place to stay. I was made welcome as soon as I arrived. Room was very nice and such good value for money. Peaceful place even with it being next to the lake where there was much singing and dancing and fireworks for the water festival (Bon Om Touk). Green and lush surroundings. I ordered my chicken fried rice when I arrived for 4 hours later. 4 hours later I was eating chicken fried rice."

"Large room. Great hot water. Friendly helpful staff. Make sure you book the aircon room though. It is a different price on Booking.com but well worth the extra money in the heat."
