Hosteļi ar Bārs Dahaba

"Our stay at the Star of Dahab was fantastic. The highlights were a great view from the room (this was our room, some will not have the same view) and the fact that the little cafe out front on the beach was accessible to us, a rare find in Dahab. We could just go and sit and enjoy the sea, snorkel and drink coffee without having to go to a restaurant. It is on the south end of the boardwalk, so a small walk to get to Lighthouse area, but very quiet and peaceful. It is one street from a more local road with lots of great restaurants that are cheaper than those down in the Lighthouse (or main area) of Dahab. The staff were helpful and accommodating to match our group's needs. Overall, it was a very laid back, relaxing atmosphere that felt safe and welcoming. We will return!"

"The bathrooms are wet rooms (for foreigners who are not used to this concept, it means the whole bathroom becomes wet when you shower as it is not enclosed). It would be helpful to have a squeegee and more hooks for clothes on the walls, but definitely a minor inconvenience in the end."

"The location and staff were excellent. The rooms were very good. The manager allowed us to check out late at no extra cost. We had a good breakfast but it didn’t include drinks. We had to ask for tea and water which was provided at no extra cost."

"The hot water in the shower lasted a long time - a rare thing in Egypt. The bathroom was nicely tiled. The room has a chill vibe and they upgrade my room for free. The diving instructor Mustafa was awesome. Really great guy and I felt very safe on my first dive."

"The location of this place is great, close to everything but not in the middle of the chaos, and the diving center close by is superb! I definitely recommend staying here if you are a diver. The breakfast was fresh and varied (there was always a small difference from one day to another, which kept it interesting!) and the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff is so nice and welcoming and there were plenty of activities being planned while I was there, usually with them! It was great to spend some quality time with locals and not only with other tourists. I would 100% be back!"

"The only flaw I found was the bathrooms. The toilets and the showers are in the same rooms (which is common use in Egypt, just not ideal), so the floor was usually wet and got dirty very fast. The staff was always trying to clean them, but it was a lost battle from from the beginning... So bring some flipflops only for the bathrooms and do not enter barefoot or with your outside shoes, please!"

"Such an amazing hostel with the kindest, most welcome and open staff. What really made it more special was Gouda's barista skills and his lovely ice coffees! Rafiki offers amazing activities that help you connect with people and make your stay in Dahab even more magical. Amazing experience!!"
