"From the moment we were met at Male airport it felt special. Very small island that is just luxury, peace and tranquility. We stayed in the beach bungalow that was spacious and extremely comfortable with the hugest bed we have ever seen. We are 2 60 year olds and we were like excited children when we saw this beautiful villa and the view in front. The staff were genuinely lovely and very happy to leave you alone or engage In conversation. We loved all the food and especially the BBQ night on the beach. My husband surprised me with a very romantic trip to the sand bar for sundown fizz and it was magical and highly recommended. We loved everything and were so sad to leave."

"This place is exactly what you need! It has breakfast included, has a self service kitchen where you can make tea and coffee whenever you like, rooms are a great size, has a washing machine and wifi and hot water always available! Tholal’s snorkelling trips were breathtaking, I wouldn’t be the best swimmer but they were all amazing. I’m sure there are other tour companies running the same trips as Tholal but as it is a small boat, you have a much more personal trip with less people shoving you to get the best videos. Just you, 3/4 other people and the animals! I honestly stopped worrying about taking footage as Tholal takes the best videos and is always happy to share! I couldn’t recommend enough!"

"Basically the room, it could do with an update. There was a sewage smell, bedding could be updated and I think with a bit of white paint it would have a new fresher look."

"The guesthouse is calm and tidy. The owners were friendly and kind. They helped us with the transfers. Also they offered a lot of great excursions and it was easy because they organized everything. There is a wonderful garden. The breakfast was full of fruits, drinks and tasty local foods. They cleaned everyday. The room was with fresh air and it was clean also."

"Dhangethi Island is a local island in Maldives so do not expect alcolic drinks and big &clean beaches. You have only Bikini beach that is worn off. But the atmosphere is really nice, a lot of corals around and very low costs. Atoll Residence is clean and pretty new"

"Liked absolutely everything except for two things. Firstly, we went with our 1 year old son and pushing him around in his stroller was very difficult. It was not user friendly in that respect, and so there needs to be walkways, not just for children but also elderly, disabled etc. Secondly it does cost a lot for extras such as alcohol etc and it’s not clear when you book that there’s an all inclusive option. Thirdly, we’ve unfortunately travelled during the Middle East war happening right now and I feel that the staff knew for 4 whole days what the situation was and were not proactive enough to help me find alternative suitable flights. As I’m writing this, I’ve been left stranded."
