"The hotel has a weathered charm that shows its experience through the staff who are eager to please. The food has been the best I've had so far in Sri Lanka (after visiting Negombo and Kandy). The atmosphere is laid back and tranquil where one can enjoy waking up to birds chirping and water running from the river that touches the property. The staff are aware of some of the hotels shortcomings and go out of their way to make your experience a pleasant one."

"The hotel shows its age in the rooms. The WiFi goes out and sometimes never works again. One second power cuts are frequent. I believe these issues may be due to poor infrastructure in the area and the hotel shouldn't be blamed."

"The host is bright and professional. Right from our small talk during check-in, she quickly grasped our needs and provided all the necessary support. Everything was perfectly arranged—from a tuk-tuk for the suburbs and a car to Kandy, to dinner restaurant recommendation. The room was meticulously prepared and kept in excellent condition, making our stay incredibly comfortable."

"I felt the food was average (with the breakfast spread thin on the ground and not of the highest quality) particularly if you are being charged at foreigner's rates of USD 20 per person.. It seems odd that bed and breakfast is not an automatic part of room accomodation at Jetwing generally (we had a similar experience at Jetwing Blue). Also while the staff are extremely polite and friendly there were glitches in our bill (being double charged for the Chinese restaurant) which grated as I am generally not used to have to forensically examine my bill. And for a place to be 5 star this should be better."

Pradeep, his family, and crew are kind, warm and welcoming people. The food was delicious and the hospitality first class. Pradeep helped organise all transport and activities and ensured we had a safe and comfortable journey wherever we were headed."
