"The bed was comfortable and it was close to the plazas and restaurants. Staff were kind. I only stayed one night and they let me check in early at 5am after waking the reception up. Rang the doorbell a few times and then called them on the telephone. You need to be buzzed in and out of the hotel. There was a big closet with a safe."

"Room was a little strange, with 2 beds instead of one with curtains covering a wall. Not sure why. There were no plug outlets near the bed, just one by the TV on other side of the room. The wifi didnt quite reach my room even though there were 3 routers. When it did, it was very weak/slow. There is a fair amount of road noise. Closing the window curtains did help. I didnt use the shower so no comment on that."

"The hot shower is really hot and comfortable. The owner was very kind and provided me hot water to drink when I arrived late at night. He also reminded me about the dancing celebration in Puno so I could go and see it. And he also agreed to let me pay for some money for late checkout so I could stay longer to get my night bus to Cuzco. The location of the hotel is good too. Very close to Puno park."

"You can hear people talking and the noise of Television at night in some rooms. But the room I stayed in second time was quiet."

"Extremely kind host! He let us check in at 6am we had just spent the night on a bus so we were so happy to sleep! The host also answered all questions we had regarding Puno. Thank you! We would definitely stay here again!"

"Extremely clean facilities and a wonderfully kind host on top. I loved my stay here, the owner helped me book the Titicaca tour and my bus to La Paz at great prices. To add to this he got a taxi and went with me all the way to the bus terminal at 5am to make sure everything went ok with my journey onwards. He went above and beyond and I am very grateful. Highly recommended."

"We loved how conveniently located this place was, just a short walk from the city center, yet on a quiet and peaceful street. The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful, and really went out of their way to assist us. They helped us organize an unforgettable overnight tour on Lake Titicaca for a great price, and even arranged our bus to Bolivia. We truly appreciated their support. Would definitely stay here again!"

"The room is very basic and the massive blankets were great for keeping warm but didn't have a clean feeling to them (hard to clean big shaggy blankets I imagine). If you're okay with no frills and just need a night the early check in was worth it to us!"

"Really nice hotel in the centre of Puno. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Efrain (hotel manager) was really kind and helpful to us throughout our stay as well. Highly recommend Hotel Fortaleza if you're looking for a comfortable stay in Puno."
