"We liked everything. The view from the verandah was exceptional. Enjoyed the bird watching, spice garden, early morning swim, late morning walk around the tea plantations. We went on two fabulous curated walks with instructions that were easy to follow. First day 3 hours, second for 1.5hr leaving us ample reading time for the afternoon. This place is 100% a haven of calm, a retreat. We stayed four nights and the guests that were there at the same time all regretted not staying longer having both booked in for 3. The food was beyond and above delicious and far too generous in helping, fruit juices and lassis were fresh and delicious. Sundowners - not to be missed. Staff couldn’t be friendlier and more helpful. A fabulous experience we can highly recommend."

"We had an amazing stay here! The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We received great local tips on things to do as well as excellent restaurant recommendations, which really enhanced our experience. Since we had an early checkout, she kindly prepared breakfast for us to take away so we wouldn’t miss it – such a thoughtful touch. She also helped us arrange transport to the train station and made sure we could stop at a sightseeing spot along the way. The beds were extremely comfortable with soft and cozy duvets – we actually had some of the best sleep we’ve had in Sri Lanka here. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again. We 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting!"

"We had the best stay at The Peppermint with Pringi and Srimal, they are so welcoming and kept us entertained from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was lovely and we had the pleasure of doing a cooking class in the evening to prepare dinner. The homestay is clean and spacious and is located a short tuktuk drive from Kandy city centre in a beautiful quiet area surrounded by jungle. We wish to return in the future!"

"Nice and recently refurbished hotel. Family room is nice and has two double beds. It has a nice bathroom, you can actually take a shower without getting the whole bathroom wet! Property is located next to a forrest in a very quiet and green area. You’ll hear nothing but animals at night. It is located on top of a very steep hill though."

"This place is in a lovely location, just off the main road so it’s nice and quiet. The hosts were so welcoming, kind and friendly. They accommodated any requests we had and couldn’t have been nicer people."

"The guesthouse has a very beautiful setting with the porch and terrace towards a green courtyard and the surrounding rice paddies. It is conveniently located close to the Archeological Museum as the starting point to all the sites with the only ticket office. It is also worth strolling around the small island park behind the museum for sunset. We received a welcome tea from our host Nilusha, who was very kind and helpful. It's a delight to sit on the porch (with or without a tea), enjoy the view into the green and listen to the sounds of nature. Our room was very spacious, clean and well maintained. Wifi is fast and also available outside while sitting on the porch. It is possible to receive breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse. The home cooked food was very good with generous portions. In order to get around the spread out archeological sites one can rent bicycles from the guesthouse."
