The walls are very thin. So you can hear all the neighbours. You don't get towels provided. Only bed sheets. This wasn't in the information mail. The reception closes at 18.00 and when we arrived at 18.10 It took us forever to find any contact information to get us checked in. The check in times in the email said check in between 15.00 - 00.00.

"Great place. The flat is clean, spacious and equipped with everything you need. Two terraces, the opportunity to eat breakfast with a beautiful view is priceless. The owners were VERY helpful and organised a place for us to store our two SUP boards by the beach. We didn't have to move or pump them up every day. THANKS On-site parking. A place worth recommending."

"Everything. The location was idea. The house was very well equipped and had everything one could need. There was enough crockery, cutlery and glasses."

"We had an amazing stay at Escapes Residence in Cape Maclear. The breathtaking views, modern amenities, and exceptional staff exceeded our expectations. "Beautiful property atop a hill, with nice views of the surroundings (including a view of the Queen's Palace). Very clean. Elegant decor. Comfortable beds. Access to private swimming pool (competition-length, which is great for serious swimmers), a pool-house equipped with grill, bar, tables, and games (ping pong and foosball), and a private playground for younger children. We ordered 1 meal that was excellent, served in-house by the hosts. The hosts live in a separate unit on the property and they were available whenever we had questions. One of the hosts used to be a competitive swimmer and she gave the children a swim lesson. A relaxing place if you want to get away from the bustle of downtown Tana."

Somewhat difficult to find if you're driving yourself, but that's no fault of the hosts and the isolation does make the property more peaceful. Besides, property access won't be a problem if you ask the hosts to organize transportation for you (either car or motorcycle). There was a water shortage due to a drought at the time of rental, but again that's no fault of the hosts. We just had to be careful about our water consumption and it all worked out just fine. Treat the hosts with respect and they will definitely return the favor (they surprised us with freshly baked bread on our last day!)

Not the best area in Paternoster, although to be fair within walking distance of everything, the exterior gates were hard work, they need to be fixed / maintained properly, chunky thick wine glasses not really what you want to drink quality wine out of
