We’re not a chain, and we’re proud of it. Our 20-room Victorian property blends comfort, creativity, and community. Expect original murals and local art throughout, a colourful lounge and breakfast room, and a kaleidoscope of thoughtful details. "Great location and off road parking. Clean and very comfortable Owners explained how we could use the facilities and had an honesty bar too. Breakfast was excellent. Bedrooms comfortable with clean white bedding and bathroom towels. You could spend a lot of time enjoying the artwork throughout the bnb. Great to have an area where we could just chill out, listen to one of the LPs available to be played and have a tea or beer at the same time Definite will return"

"Breakfast was great, a choice of coffee or tea, and cereal, toast, yoghurt etc, and a good cooked breakfast to choose from. There was a problem with the internet, this worked in our favour as we were moved to a room in a different part of the building, and the room was lovely, although it was difficult to control the heating (too hot). The decoration of of the hotel is great. Best of all was the lovely attitude and interacions with the people running the hotel."

"Our room was beautiful. Lush towels and super white. The aspect we had was lovely as it faced the sun and the sun was out. Bed was super comfortable with high quality bedding.Breakfast was great. Good choice of foods with flexibility. Super welcome too. I liked everything about this accommodation. Thank you for an excellent stay."

"What a find! Creating the Sheldon has clearly been a labour of love...its quirky, welcoming, spotless and absolute value for money. I was welcomed warmly by the owners (including CK the dog), my room was gorgeous. I loved the whole place, so well thought through - with a lounge and dining room with teas/coffees/fridge/microwave available 24/7. The whole place is decorated creatively, with welcomes and poetry dotted round - particularly love the fairy doors! To top it off, its a short walk to the beach & just over 10 min walk to the station and my breakfast was delish. I'll definitely be back 😍"
