"The property had a key safe and we were arriving VERY late at night. However, the owner thoughtfully left the key in the door for us. We were able to, park alongside the accommodation under cover and the owner had left the outside light on for us. He also left a welcoming light in the house and it was lovely and cosy with two wood burners. The owner came over as when he messaged to check that all was OK, I asked a question and he just came over to show us."
"I knew this from the photos but the stairs could be difficult for some people, we liked the quirkiness. The bathroom (downstairs) was operational but a little like it was in the middle of being decorated. The loo was a macerator and although a little alarming, worked well, as did the shower, but it all seemed a bit unfinished. There was very little crockery in the kitchen. Just two mugs, not four although it slept four. All of this made it a very memorable stay with a wonderful helpful host, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay a second night."
