The Lastiry Hotel is situated on the place of the village of Sare, classified one of the most beautiful villages of France, in the heart of the French Basque country. "Central traditional location. Convenient parking. Large comfortable bed. Excellent good value, choice of breakfast menu. Great hospitality . Although they do not offer evening meal would recommend the nearby Pikassaria restaurant. Will definitely recommend."

"We only stayed one night and didn’t have breakfast but the stay was wonderful. The host Fabienne was friendly and spoke in Basque (I do too) and that was a plus for me. The hotel is in the town square near amentities and free parking. The weather has been extremely hot and having AC made a huge difference."

"Really lovely traditional room in the heart of Sare. The hotel is simple in terms of facilities but it’s very comfortable and the owners were very welcoming and friendly. There was somewhere safe to store my bicycle. Good breakfast with lots of local products to choose from. The restaurant below the hotel was absolutely exceptional!"

"Because i stayed a number of days i occupied an annexe room with small kitchen facilities which was absolutely perfect. Right in the town centre but near the bakery and supermarket. It was lovely and clean with wifi - The GR10 route i was walking actually went past the front door. Breakfast was one of the best i have encountered and all bread / croissants were completely fresh - excellent"
