"This is exactly what I expect from a 4-star hotel in France. Top location, excellent host, outstanding service (they even booked us a fantastic restaurant overnight), and great advice on a snorkeling spot, the best we had on the island. Everyone on the property was genuinely helpful, from the room maid I passed on the stairs (whom even asked if I needed a hand with my luggage, a first for me!) to the host."

"Location very good for the beach (5 mins) and for walking in the hills. Bus stop outside La Bastide to a station for the train to Toulon. A quiet site with a pool and our studio had a view over rooftops to the wooded hills. The person caring for the site was very helpful with advice etc. Kitchenette is small but well equipped for two people and everything was very clean. Don't expect to cook grand meals but restaurants within easy walking distance. Local Proxi supermarket is well stocked and very welcoming even offering bread when bakery was shut on Mondays."

So my review is a mix of disappointment about the poor communication over the change in accomodation (we were only informed when we checked in) and the fact thatt the hotel that we eneded up staying in was great with really good food too."
