"We love the area, close to the ocean, the view is fantastic. We lived in Trou deau Douce 25 years ago at Valmarin. It was wonderful to be back and these apartments has so much potential, but unfortunately it’s not taking care of. The cleaning lady was very kind."

The apartments weren’t cleaned when we arrived. The underfloor apartment was full of black mold. The pool is not taking care of. No sunbeds. You could easily do a quick renovation, do some painting and take care of these apartments and it would be wonderful. Now we love this area and has lot of friends in Trou deau Douce so we wanted to stay there. We had no contact with the owners, they didn’t answer us, but the housekeeper/cleaning lady was nice and answered, she come and clean when we asked for it.

Main window is in the bedroom, so the livingroom is kind of dark, but with lights on it didn't bother me.

"Quiet neighbourhood but not secluded. Close to Blue Bay, very close to Kokomo Beach for great snorkelling early in the day, and the flamingo habitat was always fun to check out. Grocery store was a 5 minute drive away. Many restaurant choices a short drive away. 10-15 mins from downtown Willemstad, with plenty of parking near the Fort. Ed was a wonderful host! And the private pool at the end of a long hot day was a blessing."

Could not find coffee filters for the coffee machine in any store…:)

"Excellent apartment with everything you could need- comfortable bed, great shower, small kitchenette with microwave & oven, dishwasher & kettle. Located half way between the train/bus station & old town but shops/restaurants are close by. Lovely host who was very accommodating and response to my queries. Would definitely stay here again."

It did mention washing machine, but there wasn’t one in the apartment, but there may have been one available for the apartment complex. I didn’t need to do washing so didn’t follow up about it.

There was no hot water in the studio apartment..at least they should have installed a hot water heater in the shower would be better. the WiFi keeps going on and off.The TV had only 4 to 5 channels.Well, it's Solomon Islands. Everything there is yet to be upgraded.

La habitación me sorprendió gratamente: además de ser muy bonita y luminosa, resultó muy cómoda y estaba equipada con una cocina que tenía todo lo necesario para preparar mis comidas. La piscina es amplia y agradable, ideal para relajarme después de pasar el día en la playa. Sin duda, lo que más destaco son las vistas increíbles que hicieron mi estancia aún más especial. "The Apartment was very comfortable, warm, nicely equipped and has everything you need. It is quiet, the beds are comfortable with two nice bedrooms and dark curtains, so you can sleep very well. It even has a small balcony."

It is quite far away from the city but the Luas makes it very easy to get there, so it is really ok as a location. There is not much around, but the supermarket is close and some food-places too.
